About the Conference

About Nanoscale, Single Molecule and Related Spectroscopies

The conference is the latest in a series that evolved 38 years ago from meetings on low temperature high-resolution optical spectroscopy, in particular the spectral hole-burning technique. In recent years the conference developed into a meeting of the international single-molecule and nanoscale spectroscopy community. With ‘spectroscopy’ the keyword, the meeting, in recognition of its roots, focuses on high spectral, spatial or temporal resolution methods for physics and chemistry beyond ensemble averaging.

The topics covered include, for example, single molecules and quantum dots, single ions and defect centers in solids, perovskite nanophysics, molecular quantum photonics and biophotonics, nanooptics and plasmonics, energetics and dynamics of biomolecules, etc.

The upcoming conference is the 15th in its series; previous conferences were organized under various names, lately every three years:
